TikTok has been around for almost 5 years and we STILL see so many companies dismiss this platform, because of thanks to the perception that it’s theirfor a younger demographic and has limited B2B features. Keep reading to learn how this feature could make an impact on your lead generation strategy.
Who can use TikTok’s lead generation feature?
This new app feature is available for all TikTok for Business advertisers. It allows brands to capture user data directly from their in-stream ads. TikTok announced this feature saying, “we are excited to introduce Lead Generation, TikTok’s first-party solution, to help businesses reach customers and drive conversion with ease. Now businesses can share details of their products and services that are related, appealing, and interesting to their customers with a few simple taps.”
What does this TikTok advertisement look like?

Once a user clicks on the CTA button, they will be taken to a page that includes a customizable banner, profile image, text, and lead generation form.
How is this different from other lead generation experiences?
One of the most exciting aspects of this feature is that the information users provide to TikTok such as name, email, and phone number can also be automatically populated in lead generation forms. This provides for an efficient experience between the business and user. Both TikTok’s Privacy Policy and the advertiser’s privacy policy will be linked in the lead generation form. The information collected through this auto-fill feature will only be accessible by the advertiser. Furthermore, TikTokers can edit their information on the form or click to exit out of the form at any time.
How Much Will it Cost?
TikTok is known to have premium ad rates. TikTok ads start at roughly $10 per CPM (cost per 1000 views) with a minimum of $500 per campaign. But keep in mind that premium prices mean less competition on this platform. So could this actually be worth a try? Maybe! You’ll never know about an opportunity you’re missing out on until you try it.
