We’re excited to announce our newest KWSM Las Vegas Web Designer, Matt Cancilla! Matt was recently promoted from Junior Web Designer after celebrating his first workiversary with the agency.
When Matt first joined the KWSM team as a Junior Web Designer in September of 2021, his passion and tenacity to deliver great work was obvious. His creative eye, attention to detail, ability to stay organized with multiple projects and shifting priorities, and his consistent display of loyalty to our team and to our clients are just some of the reasons why we love having him on the team.
I personally have had the pleasure of working closely with Matt for many of my clients’ web and design projects, giving me a first-hand look at just how skilled he is. He brings his A-game to every project, making him someone I’m grateful to collaborate with.
To celebrate Matt’s promotion to Web Designer, I asked him to share a little bit about his professional journey at KWSM and what he looks forward to in his new role.
What are you most looking forward to as a Web Designer?
“A lot of my responsibilities will stay the same, with developing websites and performing web maintenance continuing to be my main focus. However, I will have the opportunity to be more involved with larger projects like the overall web process for clients, new site design mockups, etc. I think the design mockups are what I’m most looking forward to. While I enjoy the development part of my role, creative design is something I’m passionate about and I’m excited to show it in new ways.”
In the last year, how have you grown in your craft?
“What I love most about KWSM is the opportunity to learn and grow in areas you are interested in. I am lucky enough to have team members with great knowledge to learn from. Since I have started at KWSM, I have become more proficient in coding with CSS and I am able to translate those skills into my daily work.”
What do you enjoy most about working in the KWSM Web Department?
“I enjoy the collaboration of the team. Developing websites is still relatively new to me, so being able to get the support from a creative, knowledgeable team has been my favorite part of the role so far. Everyone is so willing to help and watch you grow as a designer.”
