Amplifying your Next Blog Post

Blogging online is a good way for a business to educate your audience about what you do. It’s also a way to establish relationships with your target customers. In order to achieve these things, you have to amplify your content and get it out there for people to see.

First, you have to know how to write a good blog post. Then you have to share your post across the internet to get it in front of your target audience.

The first step is to share your blog post on all of your social media channels. If you have a Facebook fan page, make sure to share your blog there. If you have a Twitter for your business, always tweet your blog posts whenever they are published. The same applies for any and all of your additional channels. If you have a Pinterest, Google +, or LinkedIn, share your blog there as well. Keep in mind that whenever you share content with a link to an article, video, or blog, make sure that it is properly titled and you include a catchy blurb. You want that post to get exposure and be intriguing enough to click on.

Ask others to help

Once you have shared your blog post on your social networks, ask your employees or coworkers to share it on their personal channels. The more places that people can find access to your blog post, the better. Having your team share it on their social networks will expose your content to an even wider audience. When you are blogging, you want to reach as many people as possible to get more eyeballs on your website. When someone clicks on the post to view, it drives traffic to your site.

Spread the news

The last thing that you want to do is find forums where others go to share and read blog posts and join in. StumbleUpon, Delicious, and Reddit are examples of tools that you can use to promote your blog posts. These are all places where people are actively seeking articles and blogs. This is your chance to be their resource and drive traffic back to your blog.

Make a check list

Everyone should make themselves a blogging checklist. A sample checklist could look like this:

1. Publish blog post
2. Share on Facebook fan page
3. Share on Twitter
4. Share on LinkedIn personal profile and company page
5. Ask others to share your post
6. Post on StumbleUpon
7. Post on Delicious
8. Post on Reddit

Sharing your blog posts on your social media channels is a way to direct more traffic back to your website. Think of your website as a hub and social networks and blog sharing forums are the satellites around that hub. The goal is to pull as much traffic back to your website as possible. When you write your next blog post, make it a point to use as many of the above techniques as you can. You will notice a difference.
