Last week, Pinterest unveiled a new analytics dashboard for the channel. For businesses, the new analytics will show you how your pins are performing, the best and worst pins, ‘Pin It’ button traffic, customer engagement and more. You can use this information to gain more followers, and ultimately, grow your business.

One of the new tools will show you which pins are working for your business. This includes information like which pins received the most repins within a certain period of time, or the highest performing pins of all time. You will also be able to see which boards on your page are the most popular and receive the most clicks or repins. And if you have a website, Pinterest analytics can also measure which images customers like the most and how much traffic is being driven via the ‘Pin It’ button.

Another new metric Pinterest has introduced is customer engagement throughout the platform. Now, you’ll be able to see customers’ interests, other businesses and accounts they follow, and how they interact with the rest of the Pinterest community. Knowing what else customers are interested in outside of your business will help you tailor your pins to your target audience and potentially increase your engagement.

You can also see what countries and cities your audience is from, their gender, and what device they are viewing your page with – such as an iPad, iPhone, Android or others.

With these insights, the new Pinterest analytics tool can help you not only improve your Pinterest strategies, but also make better marketing decisions.
