Groupon's 'Pages' Gives Yelp a Run for Its Money

Groupon’s latest feature, Pages, is bringing forward a new way to rate businesses and scan reviews. On the site, merchants can claim a page, customize it and manage it themselves.

Much like Yelp, Pages also offers the ability to publish deals and respond to customer feedback.

At the Flight conference, Twitter announced its plan to become a full-fledged mobile services provider for other apps and services through its Fabric app. This suite of tools includes mobile analytics, a way for apps to integrate into Twitter’s mobile advertising network MoPub, and a social-login feature called Digits that uses your phone number instead of a password.

On Thursday, Facebook launched an anonymous chat app called “Rooms.” The free app is now available in the App Store and allows users to create chat rooms for shared interests. “Rooms” is entirely separate from Facebook and doesn’t require you to provide any revealing details like your name or your location. The creation emerged from the company’s initiative to design more apps connecting people in different ways.
