It’s important to log onto your business Twitter account at least once daily in order grow your account, and keep it headed in the right direction!
If you’re just beginning your Twitter strategy, it’s natural to feel a little overwhelmed by all that needs to be done. However, it is easy to categorize your daily Twitter tasks into small, manageable action items. The following suggestions can help.
Check your notifications tab, and respond to any interactions you find there. You should reply to any Twitter users who have mentioned you. You’ll also want to check out your new followers and see if you want to follow them back. And, take notice of anyone who retweeted or favorited one of your tweets.
Favorite a few posts
Scroll through your newsfeed, and favorite a few posts that are of interest to your business. Keep in mind your brand personality, and what kind of content is valuable to your audience.
If you find anything that you think would be appropriate to share on your Twitter account, then retweet it! It will be sent out in your Twitter stream along with the tweets you have written, and will be seen by your followers in their newsfeeds.
Follow a few people
If you’re looking to get more Twitter followers, than a sure-fire way to do this is to follow a few new accounts each day. Follow businesses that would make good referral partners, or anyone that could benefit from the services and/or products your business offers. This is a great way to get on their radar and start exposing them to your content.
Using popular hashtags for your business account can increase engagement on your channel. Don’t be afraid to join in on the #TipTuesday, #ThrowbackThursday, or #FollowFriday trends on Twitter!
