Instagram Alerts Users When Posts and Stories Are Private

Instagram has now added a notification that lets a user know if the post or story he or she is about to share is from a user or business that is private. This feature will also let the user know if the desired person or business they wish to send to is following that private profile. If the user they wish to send to is not following the private profile, they will not be able to view what is being sent.

Facebook Shares How They Use Machine Learning For Ads

Facebook’s machine learning gets smarter as it receives new data without needing to be programmed. With extra insights, Facebook’s machine learning is able to generate the estimated action rate and the ad quality score used in the total value equation.

To figure out the estimated action rate, the machine will predict a particular person’s likelihood of taking the advertiser’s desired action, whether it be website clicks, page likes, etc. They base these predicted actions on a person’s behavior on and off Facebook, as well as other factors, such as the content of the ad, the time of day, and interactions between people and ads to determine if the ad will be the right fit.

Google Provides More Access Points for Google My Business

To help businesses manage their online presence during COVID-19, Google is now allowing users to access Google My Business through search and maps. This will give business owners more flexibility to manage their Google My Business page more efficiently.

To use this feature, make sure you are signed in to your Google account used to verify your business. On Google Maps, click your profile picture on the top right corner of the mobile app and select “Your Business Profile” to access the page. On Google Search, look up your business by name or search for “my business” to update your profile.
