WHAT’S RELEVANT THIS WEEK IN SOCIAL MEDIA

The world of social media is always renewing itself in some way or another. With frequent updates and resurfacing content, it can be hard to keep up with on a daily basis. It’s important to stay informed of the current issues and trends so that your social media presence stays relevant. Using social media is one thing, but using it well is the key to online success.  Stay updated with the latest social media news!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Pinterest has begun removing affiliate links, the trackers attached to pins that allow bloggers to make money when people repin their sponsored content. While normal users will not see a difference, the bloggers who previously earned a percentage of sales when shoppers clicked through to products they shared on Pinterest will no receive a cut from those stores.

Twitter  is testing different multi-photo layouts, making it so each user’s mosaics may not always look the same. It is rumored that the experimentation with the platform’s image display may be a step toward supporting other types of media, such as native video clips and GIFs.
