IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Google launched a new platform for business owners earlier this week. ‘”Google My Business’” will integrate Places and Google+ into one platform for businesses. The new platform will allow business owners to manage their search, maps and social components in one place.
Pinterest is becoming a search engine. In addition to “Guided Search” the visual discovery tool is launching a “Places Search.” The new feature will make it easier to map a pin to an actual place. The update will also include geographic names being identified in search.
Facebook will now be telling users why they are seeing certain ads. On the ads there will be a prompt that reads “Why am I seeing this ad?” Facebook will also provide an opt out for users who don’t want to see ads from certain companies. The opt out feature will available on the both desktop and mobile versions.
