If you don’t let people know about your social media channels offline, you are missing out on a great opportunity to turn more of the people you meet on a daily basis – your clients and customers – into fans and followers on social media. Here are five places you can put your social media channels to drive awareness of your company’s social media presence.

Business Cards

It’s so simple! How many business cards do you hand out on a daily or weekly basis? If you are like most people I know, it’s quite a few. Why not include links to your most active social media sites on that card? It’s an easy way to get the word out about your social media to every new person you meet.

Signage

Do you have a retail space or an office? Put signage about your social media sites on the front door, or on the reception desk. It ensures that everyone who comes in and out of your business will see what social media channels you have.

Email Signature

How many emails do you send every day? Including links to your social media sites in your email signature is a super simple way to let people know where to find you. Additionally, they can click directly through to the site, making it easy to become a fan or follower of your business.

Receipts and Invoices

If you print receipts, put a line at the bottom asking your customers to review you on Yelp or find you on Facebook. If you send invoices, include it in the comments about the invoice. This is yet another way you can automatically let people know about your social media sites without having to tell them directly.

Product Labels

If you sell a product, putting the links to your social media channels on it is an easy way to drive awareness. This works especially well when you include a reason they should go to your social media sites. For example, if you sell a protein supplement, you could tell people to visit your Facebook page for delicious smoothie recipes. Then, of course, you should provide smoothie recipes on your Facebook page.

If you want to increase the number of fans and followers on your social media accounts, you have to get the word out. It’s also important to create excellent content so that they will actually ‘like’ your page. Excellent content plus awareness of your social media sites will equal more fans and followers.
