KWSM has been Camino Federal Credit Union’s marketing partner since 2012. Our services include website management, SEO, social media marketing, reputation management, content creation, and video production. We were originally engaged to raise brand awareness about the Los Angeles-based Credit Union with their target audience and combat some negative reviews online. The ultimate goal was to see a growth in membership.

Over a period of two years, we raised the average rating of Camino’s Cerritos branch from 1-star to 4.5-stars, through responsiveness to customer feedback and creating positive content to tell the credit union’s story online.

A More Effective Brand & Website

In 2017, we designed and developed a new website for Camino. They wanted to update their brand to reflect their remodeled branches and increase organic search traffic to their website while maintaining functionality for the members that relied on the site. Additionally, the website had to be compliant with the federal regulations for credit unions, as well as designed in such a way that made it accessible for those with disabilities (ADA compliant). This was a complex process that required knowledge of regulations, additional layers of web development, and regulatory approval.

The new site has more than 300 pages and provides a consistently updated library of information and financial education for members.

Within two months of launching the website, Camino saw a 40% increase in organic search traffic as a result of the optimization of the new website.

We redesigned the products and services pages to focus on conversion, and the new site is generating an average of 50+ leads each month for products like auto loans. In addition, the percentage of members taking advantage of online banking has increased, since the new site provides a better online experience.

New Video Series

Camino wanted to engage their members and build an audience on social media by creating a video series with tips on managing personal finances. We conduct recurring video shoots and shoot several video tips each month, which are then released weekly on social media. This video content has helped establish Camino as a personal finance resource, with more than 100 videos completed and tens of thousands of views across social media.
