We are excited to announce that KWSM Atlanta’s Madeleine Wood has been promoted from Junior Web Designer to Web Designer!
Here at KWSM, opportunities for growth exist for any team member who is eager and determined to pursue them. We saw this tenacity in Madeleine from her very first day as a KWSM Junior Web Designer in July 2020. Despite the barriers of onboarding virtually in the midst of the pandemic, Madeleine made her presence and passion for web design clear.
After one year of consistently displaying growth in her craft, loyalty to our team and to her clients, and a contagiously positive and kind attitude, she now steps out of her Junior role and into that of a Web Designer.
To celebrate her promotion, we asked Madeleine to share a little bit about her story and what she hopes to accomplish in the future.
Tell our readers a little bit about yourself.
The first thing to know about me is that I love to travel. I got my bachelor’s degree at the University of Portsmouth in England because that gave me the opportunity to study storytelling in varying forms while exploring many different parts of Europe.
I am always on the lookout for examples of awe-inspiring stories (in books, music, and tv), and I enjoy compiling lists of these favorites on my own personal blog. In my free time, I can usually be found in a coffee shop working on a novel-in-progress or reading with a large mug of cinnamon tea.
What has been your favorite part of working at KWSM?
There is so much I love about working here, but my favorite part is the team I get to work with each day. Each person is talented, creative, kind, and supportive of every other member, and that creates such a great culture here.
What types of projects are your favorite to work on?
My favorite projects are building new websites from start to finish because both the design and development processes involve lots of creativity and collaboration with many different team members.
What do you hope to accomplish at work in the next year?
I hope to learn even more about WordPress and expand my knowledge in the ever-evolving world of design.
