Vine introduced a new feature that counts the number of times someone has watched your gif play over and over again. The “Loop Count” feature will show the count from views on both mobile and web platforms. Vine users can find the count in the upper right hand corner of their videos.
Twitter debuted a new “Buy Now” button earlier this week. The button appeared on tweets with products that were available for purchase on shopping website called Fancy. The button only appeared on the mobile app and it’s possible is it just a beta test. Twitter often experiments with new features.
Facebook bought a video advertising startup called LiveRail. The social media giant presumably acquired the startup for between $400 and $500 million. Facebook is working to service more videos ads to web and mobile users. LiveRail provides publishers with video ad targeting services.
