Company pages on LinkedIn allow businesses to brand themselves in a social networking environment that is both practical and professional. Useful information can be easily gleaned from company pages, especially by clicking the ‘Products and Services’ tab for more information.
Under this page, a business can list the products and/or services they offer in more detail. It also provides an opportunity for businesses to request recommendations from customers regarding their experience with a particular product and/or service.
Like all social media channels, LinkedIn is constantly reworking and retooling their site to be more resourceful and easier to navigate. Most recently, LinkedIn announced that the ‘Products and Services’ tab will no longer be made available to company pages starting on April 14th, 2014. Showcase pages will now provide the opportunity for businesses to highlight their products and services. To learn more about showcase pages, click here.
Naturally, you may be worried about how to save your recommendations currently on your ‘Products and Services’ page. LinkedIn advises to copy your recommendations into a document of your choosing. If you’re looking to preserve your recommendations in a way more similar to how they look on the site, you can request a copy of your recommendations through LinkedIn. However, you’ll only be able to request copies of recommendations that were posted to your page on March 4th, 2014 or earlier.
The April deadline is approaching quickly, so don’t delay in saving your page information.
