Facebook knows you see the videos in your timeline; now it wants you to hear them with a new autoplay feature. Meanwhile, Instagram is celebrating kindness with its worldwide Instameet for 2017, and LinkedIn is keeping users connected with new features such as integrated “chatbots.”

Here are the latest trending social media stories you need to know!

Instagram Spreads The Love For Latest Instameet

If there is one thing we could all use a little more of these days, it’s a little bit of kindness.

Instagram is doing its part to spread the love by making kindness the theme of its 15th Instameet, a global event aimed at bringing communities together through the power of social media.

Last year, Instagram held its 14th Instameet on Earth day, when companies such as Tom’s gathered Instagrammers in Venice to clean up the beach and the surrounding neighborhoods in the name of Earth Day.

This year’s Instameet will be held on March 25 and 26 and will focus on new features such as Instagram live to connect Instagrammers around the world.

LinkedIn Gets Chatty with New Message Features

Popular business networking platform LinkedIn has always been a central hub for professionals around the world to collaborate and create new relationships via its user-friendly interface. Personal messaging has always been a great way for users to connect with one another on the platform, and now LinkedIn is taking its messaging services one step further.

The latest round of updates will now allow for users to chat directly from a floating window no matter where they are on the site, a feature most users should see as a welcome addition.

LinkedIn users will also benefit from a new “chatbot” like feature, which will offer “icebreakers” when reaching out to new network opportunities. The new feature will even go as far as to recommend people from a specific company to network with based on your preferences.

Facebook Videos Will Now Feature AutoPlay Sound

It’s no secret that Facebook is making a big push when it comes to video, and its latest updates are no exception to their prior efforts.

Users will now here video with sound on autoplay as they scroll through their newsfeed. They will also have the ability to minimize a video into a smaller screen that will continue to play even while scrolling.

In a push to keep video at the forefront of its services, Facebook has also announced support for Apple TV and other apps in a drive for video viewing on television screens everywhere.

This is great news for publishers and advertisers, as it will allow for a slew of new advertising campaigns across the platform.
