You have a fantastic team and you’ve worked hard to build a strong company culture. The do’s and don’ts of Instagram can be tricky at times, but if you want your following to get to know the people who make the magic happen at your business, you’ll also want to showcase your company culture on the photo-based app. Here are some tips to get you started:
Nothing gets the party started like a genuine celebration. Snap and share pictures of new hires, company milestones, birthdays, and more! By showing what and how you celebrate as a company (even if you’re just celebrating the every day), you’re showing some of the best and happiest parts of your company culture. Just be sure that your celebrations are something you’d be happy to let your clients see!
Out Of Office
While in-house content is all well and good, sometimes the fun happens outside company hours. Did the team go for a smoothie run during a summer lunch break? Are you heading out to happy hour to celebrate a coworker’s success? Share it on your Instagram feed! As long as it’s somewhat work related and still matches the theme of your account, you should be good to go.
Shine the spotlight on the movers and shakers of your company. From the junior staff members to the head of the company, showcasing every member of your team not only shows how much you value your employees, but also allows your following to get to know your business on a more personal level. Share a couple facts about what each individual does within the company and what they enjoy doing in their free time. People connect with people, and how best to do that with your audience by posting a friendly face?
Take A Group Selfie
Everybody in! This one is simple, but it’s tried and true. There’s nothing like a group picture to capture everyone’s smiling faces in a single shot. At KWSM, we’re lucky to go out on regular team bonding events and birthday lunches, and it’s company tradition to take a group selfie every time we head out together! As our company has grown over the years and more faces appear in our selfies we’ve literally watched our team grow on our Instagram feed. A selfie may not be your team’s thing, but every company culture has something special about it—now it’s up to you to figure out what it is.
