LinkedIn recently unveiled new ways for premium members to customize their profiles. If you’re a premium subscriber, or are looking into becoming a premium subscriber, here are some things you can now look forward to.
A custom profile background
A custom header photo will be available to LinkedIn premium users immediately, but the feature will roll out to general accounts in the next few months. If you’d like to receive early access to the new photo feature as a basic LinkedIn user, you can request it here.
Search results
As a LinkedIn premium user, you’ll now show up more prominently in search results, as your listing will be double the size of unpaid users. Additionally, as a premium subscriber, you’ll receive a list of customized keyword suggestions, to help you show up higher in search results.
A larger header section
You’ll also have a larger header section to display your name, title, position, and/or industry keywords.
Connectivity
Additionally, you’ll have the option to set your account to be completely open, so that anyone can reach out to you, allowing for greater networking potential.
Keep in mind that a basic (unpaid) LinkedIn account is a powerful tool that can help you expand your network and grow your business, and upgrading to a premium account may not be necessary. However, if you’re looking for more leverage on LinkedIn, it may be helpful to look into the benefits of a premium account.
