The KWSM Team recently attended the Orange County Association of Realtors Real Social Conference in Irvine, California where Katie gave a presentation on social media best practices! While we met a ton of awesome individuals looking to kick-start and breathe life back into their social media channels, we were also met with a lot of questions. What types of content could realtors use on social media? How could realtors use social media to show off their experience and potentially earn more business?

You had questions, and we’ve got answers. Here are some quick content ideas to get you started:

1. About The Realtor

Working in real estate requires you to meet face to face with clients, which means that you are often the face of your own brand. Since people prefer to work with someone they know, like, and trust, a potential client is more likely to work with your company over a competitor if they know a little more about you. Give them a face to put a name to, some insight into your experience, and throw in a link to your website’s About page for good measure! A post that showcases what makes your brand unique will help you stand out and lets your target audience know exactly why they’d like to work with you over anyone else.

2. Client Testimonials

There is nothing like the power of word of mouth combined with a happy customer. Client testimonials are proof that you’ve done some excellent work for previous clients and you will most likely help potential clients achieve the same success. In marketing, it is often best to show, not just tell, what you can do. Positive reviews and testimonials are undeniable proof that your service lives up to what you’re advertising!

3. Property Preview

Try featuring a new listing or even just highlight a specific part of the property that you’re excited to show. Whether it’s a beautiful backyard or the expansive master bedroom, giving a little sneak peek of an upcoming listing is bound to get some eyeballs on your social channels! For this post, you’ll need to take a picture and write a short description on what makes this property highlight so special. It’s very important that you take a high quality photo so that your target audience understands that it’s also a high quality property! Remember, how you present things on social media is just as important as how you present them in person.
