Facebook Improves Photo Sharing for Mobile Users

Nov 2014

The world of social media is always renewing itself in some way or another. With frequent updates and resurfacing content, it can be hard to keep up with on a daily basis. It’s important to stay informed of the current issues and trends so that your social media presence stays relevant. Using social media is one thing, but using it well is the key to online success.  Stay updated with the latest social media news!

Facebook now allows its users to rearrange mobile photo uploads in their preferred order and preview of how the story will show up on friends’ feeds. With this upgrade, users can also add an introduction for the entire photo story as well as captions for individual images.

These changes allows people to better tell the story behind their photos, and brings Facebook’s mobile functionality closer to the desktop experience.

In a recent move for the company, Twitter has announced the acquisition of TwitPic’s photo archive. Twitpic’s website saw popularity before Twitter allowed its users to directly upload their photos to their tweets, and originally blamed their plan to shut down completely on Twitter.

Pinterest has rolled out a minor redesign to its users’ profile pages, making profile photos round instead of square and adding a button to share people’s profiles. The location of the “Follow” button has also been moved, and the site added functionality to support more languages.
