Not All Social Media Agencies and Services Are the Same

Working for a social media agency where we take our practice extremely seriously, it’s not a surprise that I feel irked when I see Internet “marketers” blithely tack on social media as an add-on service to their list of professions. It’s not an elitist thing, but the truth is nowadays everybody and their moms tout […]

Simple Strategies to Start on Social Media

If you’re new to using social media for your business, it can admittedly be overwhelming.  I have friends, long time college veterans of Facebook, who have disabled their Facebook accounts for personal reasons, only to come back later, barraged with all of the changes that Facebook invariably throws at us. If my friends, who I […]

Where Do You Find Content?

There is an abundance of information and content floating around in the internet, but the question is, what is the best? Surely, we all don’t have time to go aimlessly searching for good articles, links, facts and information everyday to find something to populate our social media content. It was a long time coming, but Katie Wagner Social Media finally launched our e-newsletter last month! The consumer marketplace and the way […]

With kids and youth becoming adept at technology at such early ages, teaching them how to be good digital citizens in order to avoid future repercussions has become a vital issue.  Youth need our guidance, but even adults need a reminder every now and then about just how important it is to be smart on […]

Redeeming Yourself On Social Media

Two weeks ago I wrote about how I had felt slighted by a company through social media. If you missed the blog post, you can read it here. Long story short, I had tweeted a company, only to find that my question was swept under the rug and that the company was replying to other […]

Sometimes, Less Can Be More

It’s tough juggling so many social media platforms nowadays (shameless plug: if you’re having difficulty, why not hand over some of the work to us?), right? On top of running your business, do you even have time to update your Facebook status (several times a day!), tweet your followers, monitor your Yelp listing for reviews, […]

She's Baaack! What I Learned From Stepping Away From My Company

And more importantly, if I stop caring (or just give it up for lack of time), who will pay the price? Not just me, but every member of our team. I have a responsibility to take time to focus on the business. I need to be calm and clear-headed enough to make smart decisions. And yes, sometimes that means stepping away from the laptop. I’ve realized that having a balance between doing the work and thinking about how we do the work is essential for success – and ensuring success is my primary responsibility.
