If you’ve visited Yelp recently, you may have noticed the new and improved site layout. The new design makes it much easier to search for local businesses and also helps to paint a more accurate picture of a particular business establishment.
To highlight the newest features, I will use Native Foods Café, a popular causal dining eatery located in Aliso Viejo, Calif., as an example.
Bigger, Bolder Photos
The days of small photo thumbnails are gone. Now you get to experience larger photos across the top of the page, just like a mini-slideshow. This helps to relay the ambience and experience of a business, place or restaurant right from the start.
Review Highlights
Now, more than ever, it is much easier to glean the information you came to find from a business you are looking into. The most popular menu items from a restaurant will be bolded in each review, which helps to more easily grasp a sense of a menu’s signature items. Price information and other important details will also be highlighted for ease of searching.
Is your business on Yelp? If not, you may want to consider creating a business profile. To date, 53 million reviews have been published on the site.
