Social media has many caveats.  With frequent updates and resurfacing content, social media changes rapidly.  Be sure to keep up on the most pressing and intriguing issues to help you master the art of social media.  Using social media is one thing but using it well is the key to online success.  Stay updated and stay informed with the latest social media news.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

ComputerThe whole point to successful social media is perfection right?  To a slight degree that is the case.  What we mean by that is there is a time and a place for social media and there is also a protocol for how you post content.  That is to say you don’t post content in the same way to twitter as you do LinkedIn.  They are entirely different in their audience and their perception.  The trick is to figure out what works for each and gets the best results.  And yes there is somewhat of a science to it.  Luckily you don’t have to figure out what it is.  I’s already been done.  Making your social media perfect.

Instagram is popular, but just how popular is it? Popular enough for Time Magazine to use it to cover the incidents of Hurricane Sandy.  You probably though instagram was only for making your food look cool right?  Think again.  The expanding social media site is attracting much wanted attention from major players in the market place.  Instagram is slowly evolving into a photographic phenomenon that puts the power of skillful photography in the palm of your hands.  Why Time used Instagram.

Twitter has got hundreds of millions of users in current statistics. In fact as of September 2012 twitter had just over 500 million active users.  That would suggest Twitter is pretty popular and in fact those users send out almost 9000 tweets per second.  But just what is the most popular tweet of all time?  It of course has to do with the election but this one single tweet is thought to be the most popular tweet ever.  By the sheer magnitude of retweets it received, something Barack Obama wrote was retweeted over 500,000 times.  See what it said.

Do you like timeline?  If you don’t you’re not alone.  There are many people that are still unsatisfied with timeline even after 8 months of getting used to it.  Luckily Facebook has listened and is toying with the idea of changing Timeline again, this time for the better.  Rumored – there will be only one column as to make the display of information easier on the eye.  See what’s in store.
