In midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, nationwide protests, an upcoming presidential election and a call to boycott advertising on the most popular social media site in the world, Facebook is continuing to push forward by focusing on education courses to help businesses that are now heavily reliant on digital sales and advertising.

This week, they’re continuing their free “Summer of Support” sessions with a discussion on “Community.” The course focuses on the role small businesses have when it comes to helping their communities flourish. It highlights how business owners can use digital tools to remain a strong force both socially and economically.

The ten minute session, “Paying It Forward with Carolyn Everson,” discusses the importance of giving back. Everson also talks about ways different businesses are supporting their communities in uncertain times.

Last week, Facebook featured tips on utilizing the Facebook Pixel and making the best use of Instagram’s camera options. The Facebook pixel is code you can place on your website. It can measure, optimize and build advertising audiences that visit your site from Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or Audience Network ads. Instagram’s camera app has a variety of features to create and enhance your photos and videos.

If you missed any of the previous sessions, you can still view them. Facebook is also running a “Community Connect Education Series,” which focuses on how to make the best use of Facebook groups.

Did you know, Facebook is the world’s third-most visited website? It’s outranked by only Google and YouTube.
