Las Vegas Reopens COVID-19 Relief Grant Program for Local Businesses2020 has been a difficult year for small businesses and many of those have struggled to create new strategies for operating and marketing their Las Vegas businesses. Between city closures and hesitant customers, brick and mortar establishments still have many obstacles to overcome. In response to the more than 500 small businesses still being impacted by the effects of COVID-19, Clark County, Nevada has announced the resumption of a grant program created to help these Las Vegas business owners.

Struggling Locals

Kaizen Crossfit Gym is one of the many local businesses that has worked hard to pivot their marketing strategies in order to connect with gym members via Facebook and Instagram while also trying to connect with new members through virtual workouts. Despite the overwhelmingly positive response to these new digital options, Kaizen was still trying to stay afloat with growing expenses. This new grant opportunity can help support local businesses like Kaizen in their efforts to reach new customers and stay connected with current members.

Small Business Stabilization Grant

The Small Business Stabilization Grant aims to ease the financial strain on Las Vegas business owners and help them keep their doors open.

Through the program, local small business owners will be awarded $5,000 – $10,000 depending on the number of employees on their teams. The money can be applied to working capital which includes rent, utilities, payroll, inventory, and licensing fees. Small Business Stabilization grant applications will be accepted September 15 – September 29, 2020.

Your Business

With the assurance of your finances with the help of this grant, you may have more bandwidth to focus on marketing. Consider using email marketing to reach locals by creating a branded newsletter to tell your customers what’s going on with your business and announce new products or services. You can even create a private Facebook group for your loyal followers like Kaizen did to develop one-on-one relationships and address your customer’s main concerns.

The struggles many businesses are facing as a result of the current pandemic have been difficult to overcome for companies in all industries. By adjusting your current business strategy and finding support from resources like the Small Business Stabilization grant, your business can continue to thrive.
