IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Hyperlapse, Instagram’s newest standalone app for time-lapse videos, got its first major update that allows users to shoot videos from their iPhones’ front-facing cameras. The app now has a small button next to the shutter that toggles between the cameras. Switching to the front camera will alert you that you are switching to “selfielapse” mode.
Facebook’s controversial plan to split its messaging feature into a separate mobile app is working. Facebook Messenger has been the no. 1 most popular app in the US iPhone App Store, according to App Annie, which tracks the app economy. It is currently the no. 1 iPhone app in eight countries, and in the top 10 apps in 126 countries.
