So you’ve created an Instagram account for your business, which is great, but now it’s time to begin posting! Posting a photo to Instagram is as easy as 1-2-3 and you are also able to funnel your Instagram activity into your other social media channels at the same time! First, let’s touch on how to post to your account:
After tapping on the app to get to your account, find the camera icon on the bottom of your smart phone screen.
Once you tap on the icon, simply take a picture of what you would like to post onto your Instagram account. After your picture is taken, choose a filter to give your photo the look that you want it to have. The filters are located at the bottom of the screen and each icon is a picture of a hot air balloon with a filter sample. You are also able to customize your photo with the other editing features as well (located just above the filter options). Once your photo looks how you want it to, tap the green “Next” button at the top right portion of the screen.
Now it’s time to share your photo. Begin by adding a caption or description of what you are posting. You also have the option to “Add People” to the photo, which is the equivalent to “tagging” on Facebook. To immediately share the photo on your other social networks, simply tap the icon of the channel where you would like you photo to appear. Once the icon is highlighted blue, then you are ready to share! Do this by tapping the green “Share” button on the top right of the screen.
And voila! You have now posted a photo to Instagram! On top of that, your photo will also show up on your other social media accounts as well! You are a social media rock star! Well done you!
